Hurricane Dorian is putting a premature end to the season for a Twins minor-league affiliate.

August 29, 2019 The Fort Myers Miracle have announced that Thursday's game is their last of the season because of the approaching storm, which is forecasted to hit Florida this weekend as a major hurricane. The Miracle's weekend series has been canceled, as has the entire playoffs for the league they play in, the Florida State League. The Miracle, who are the Twins' Advanced-A affiliate, are currently leading the South division of the league. They play their home games at Hammond Stadium, which is the Twins spring training home. In 2017, the stadium sustained minor damage during Hurricane Irma.
The Twins' AA affiliate is also in Florida, the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, but their schedule has not been changed at this point.
