Is Serena Willians an underrated fashion icon, or a "diva of epic proportions" with an "enormous ego"?
That was the topic that News Talk 830 Producer Sheletta Brundidge and host Chad Hartman argued over Tuesday, when talking about the outfit Williams, 37, wore during her victory in a match at the French Open on Monday. The black and white Nike crop top included the words “Mother, Champion, Queen, Goddess," in French.
"That outfit was to inspire women and not just female athletes. You can be a goddess and a champion and a mom. I want one of those jackets and I don't play sports," Brundidge, who hosts the Two Haute Mommas podcast, argued.
Hartman scoffed, saying, "Serena's got an enormous ego. She is a diva of epic proportions."
Brundidge replied: "When Tiger does it, he's confident. When Serena does it, she's a b*tch."
