There are seven more deaths from coronavirus in Minnesota, with the state’s fatality figure nearly doubling since the beginning of the week.
The state health department’s daily update for Friday shows 57 fatalities among the 1,336 confirmed cases, with 732 of them recovering. There were 29 fatal cases in Minnesota reported this past Sunday. There are 143 cases requiring hospitalization right now, with 64 of them in intensive care.

The virus is now reported in 66 of Minnesota’s 87 counties. Reporting its first confirmed case is Nobles County in southwestern Minnesota, where Worthington is the largest city.
