Ryan Voller of St. Cloud said he’s passionate about making good coffee. That passion is also helping people in the area stay connected with some of the hardest-working people in the fight to control the spread of coronavirus.
Since October, the former Marine and current National Guard member has been selling coffee from his truck to group events, calling his business Adventure Coffee MN. He literally began taking his cup o’ joe to the streets in February.

When social distancing came into effect, and business picking up, Voller asked patrons to make a special gesture to those on the front lines of the health care crisis. He came up with “Care Cups,” where people can give $5 to a pay-it-forward tab on his website and on Facebook, with hot java going to health care workers.

“The community has stepped up, we reached our 1,000 cup limit last night,” said Voller, who noted that they've only filled half the orders.Donors are also presenting messages that Voller himself is writing on the cup sleeves.

“I’m actually getting a little carpal tunnel,” joked Voller while talking with Dave Lee on the WCCO Morning News. “By the way, elective surgeries aren’t a thing. We’re trying to keep our wrists together.”
