Lucia Renikoff broke out of a postseason slump to score a game-high 22 points, leading St. Thomas to a convincing 85-56 win over Wartburg, sending the Tommies to the Division III women's basketball Final Four.

The Tommies avenged their only loss of the season and will take on Bowdoin in Friday's national semifinals in Salem, Virginia, with the winner facing either Scranton or Thomas Moore for the D3 national crown.

Renikoff, who played prep basketball at Minneapolis Washburn, managed only 23 total points in her first three NCAA tournament games before making 8 of 13 shots against the Knights, including 5 of 9 from three-point rang

All-American center Hannah Spaulding of Annandale had another double-double, with 16 points and 14 rebound, and came up with two of the Tommies' nine blocked shots in the game at Schoenecker Arena in St. Paul.

St. Thomas (30-1) never trailed in the game, leading by as many as 31 points and never allowing the Knights to close within double digits over the game's final 28 minutes.

"When you watch us play, I hope you come away with an idea that they love doing and they enjoy doing it together," said St. Thomas coach Ruth Sinn. "We're really excited that we're moving on and getting an opportunity to be in the Final Four, but we're really excited to having another week together.

Kelcie Cox of Elk River scored 16 and Kaia Poter of Roseville added 12 for St. Thomas, which set a school record with 16 three-pointers.

This is the third Final Four appearance for the Tommies in the past eight seasons, and seventh since 1991.

Last December, Wartburg frustrated St. Thomas all night in a 60-40 drubbing in Waverly, Iowa.  The Tommies reached 40 points in Saturday's game late in the first half.

Adrienne Boettger led Wartburg (27-4) with 12 points with Amanda Brainerd adding 10 points.
