Washington D.C. - Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin announced on Friday that "Tax Day" would be pushed back this year due to COVID-19.
At @realDonaldTrump’s direction, we are moving Tax Day from April 15 to July 15. All taxpayers and businesses will have this additional time to file and make payments without interest or penalties.

Both state and federal taxes are due annually on April 15th. Becasue of the pandemic, that date will be pushed back to July 15th, 2020. Filers who file after April 15th will not be penelized and will not incure any interest charges.
Tax day has been April 15th since 1955, unless the 15th falls on a weekend or holiday and has never been delayed for the entire country.
