30,000 tickets later, the $5 flash sale tickets the Twins were selling for the rest of the May games at Target Field are gone.
The Twins announced Thursday afternoon that the full allotment of $5 tickets for 12 May home games – 32,000 tickets in total – have sold out in less than 48 hours. After 20,000 U.S. Bank Home Run Porch View and Grandstand seats were grabbed between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 2 p.m. Wednesday, an additional 12,000 Ballpark Access tickets were purchased from 6:30 p.m. Wednesday to 4 p.m. today. Now they're gone.
In a statement, Twins President Dave St. Peter said, “We applaud Twins fans for their wonderful response in celebrating this exciting start by our first-place club. We now look forward to welcoming the team back home, and turning Target Field into the place to be this May and throughout the summer.”
