Apple Valley's Tyus Jones is heading to Memphis.
The Timberwolves star has been picked up by the Grizzlies on a three year, 28 million dollar contract.
The Wolves had an opportunity to match the offer but decided not to.
Wolves president Gersson Rosas issued the following statement overnight:
“We sincerely thank Tyus for his contributions on the court and Tyus and the entire Jones family for their genuine impact on the Twin Cities community. We wish them nothing but the best in Memphis.”
Jones played 247 games for his hometown team, and averaged 5 points and 3 assists per game.
