The Clay County Sheriff's Office says 69-year-old Bradley Gibb of Vergas, Minnesota was killed when his ultra-light plane crashed on Thursday.
Gibb's plane crashed just before 12:30 p.m. at the Hawley Airport. A bystander pulled Gibb from the burning aircraft, shortly after the plane crashed near the runway. The bystander suffered burns on his arms, but was treated and released at the scene.
Investigators haven't released information as to why the plane crashed. The Clay County Sheriff's Office, FAA, and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
