The Minnesota Vikings announced today that Pro-Bowl Defensive End Danielle Hunter was placed on Injured Reserve.

September 9, 2020 Hunter had not practiced with the team since early August. The team had said they were being careful with him and making sure he was ready for their week one game against the Packers. During a media availability today with Eric Kendricks, the linebacker was quoted as saying “It’s going to be tough to replace a guy like that." That quote left many questions to be answered about the severity of Hunter's injury.

September 9, 2020 The Vikings defensive line has taken hits this off-season as they lost Linval Joseph and Everson Griffin. The team signed Michael Pierce away from the Ravens, but he has since opted out because of COVID-19 concerns. The team also traded for Jaguars Pro-Bowl DE Yannick Ngakoue.
