The Minnesota Vikings didn’t win a Super Bowl. According to Las Vegas odds makers, their chances at hoisting the Lombardi Trophy this season are just 150/1.

Quarterback Kirk Cousins did however receive a congratulatory call from the President of the United States.

“My agent just texted me and said ‘Hey, call this number the White House reached out to me and wanted you to call this number,” Cousins said in a press conference video posted by KARE 11. “I said ‘Are you serious?’ thinking it was a joke and I was going to call some prank number.

“He said ‘no, very,’ and I just called him on the bus heading to the airport.”

Cousins said it was a 30 second call congratulating him on their win over the New York Giants.

“Very out of the blue. Very random,” he added.

When asked, Cousins said that the two didn’t discuss Thursday’s rally in Minneapolis and they “didn’t go there” in conversation about an invite.

“When the President calls, I don’t care who it is, left, right, whatever, down the middle, if he says call me I am going to give him a call and see what he needs.”

Cousins completed 22-of-27 passes for 306 yards and two touchdowns in the game.
