Although I only got to watch him until I was 6, he was and still is my favorite player. I named my dog after him. Everyone thinks she is a male but I don’t care. She’s the cutest and has the best name! pic.twitter.com/ynykTc5SUw

March 6, 2020 My angel of a grandmother loved Kirby Puckett. I'll always remember her smile when she said, "he looks like a keg of beer running around the bases!" https://t.co/urNGNksg80

March 6, 2020 I met Kirby at a KFC locally. I was so nervous to go up and talk to him, but at the urging of my parents I did. He was so nice and gracious...and even signed a napkin for me. One of the best days of my childhood.

March 6, 2020 Having a player on a Minnesota team like Kirby who would put the team on his back and lay his best when it was all on the line was something special. (and rare in MN sports)
