Live Music: Here are a few shows you can catch this weekend in the Twin Cities

This weekend there are no shortage of concerts to see in and around the Twin Cities.

Friday, June 9th:

The Minnehaha Bandstand Minneapolis welcomes an acoustic performance from alt-country artist Tyler Haag.

At the Fitzgerald Theater, the indie-pop trio Joseph. That show begins 8:00 p.m.

Saturday, June 10th:

The first show and opening night party at the new and refurbished Uptown Theater with Minneapolis-based indie pop band Yam Haus.

At the Armory, EDM artist ILLENIUM bring his electronic music and huge light show to Minneapolis for back-to-back gigs.

Also in Downtown Minneapolis at the Fillmore, psych-rock band The Black Angels, take the stage with doors opening at 6:00 p.m.

Matchbox Twenty

Treasure Island has alternative band Matchbox Twenty who finally bring a long-delayed show to the Minnesota casino. They play at 7:00 p.m. at the casino's amphitheater.

Sunday, June 11th:

A local favorite, it's An Evening with Gary Louris, a solo show for the guitarist and vocalist for the Jayhawks. Expect a lot of folk and pop-rock for a 7:30 p.m. show Sunday at the Parkway Theater.
