Get off at MSP… to see the new gigantic Prince mural

Riders of Metro Transit's Blue Line have a new reason to Gett Off at MSP's Terminal 1: a gigantic 16 x 24 foot mural of one Prince Rogers Nelson.
The mural was created in 2017 by Bloomington-based aerosol and graffiti artist Rock Martinez, who also did a Prince mural on 26th St and Hennepin Ave in Minneapolis.
Ben Owen with Arts MSP says the airport is the doorstep to Minnesota..
"It's the first and the last impression that people have when they come or go to our state and it makes it really the perfect location to have these exhibitions," he said.
The piece called "I Would Die 4 U" shows the Minneapolis music legend playing his guitar surrounded of course, by purple. The second image in the gallery is a rendering, followed by photos of the installation, which is currently underway. (All images courtesy of MSP.)
