Ryan Saunders on why Andrew Wiggins is a better player this year

The Timberwolves have had a promising start to the season, and on Sunday night that included what many hope will become a breakout moment for Andrew Wiggins in the team’s win against the Heat.
Coach Ryan Saunders had benched Wiggins in the second quarter of after he missed several threes, but in the fourth, Wiggins responded emphatically, scoring 11 consecutive points, and hitting four three pointers, his first of the season, pushing the the team to their third straight win.
The Timberwolves have turned heads early in the season, with Karl Anthony Towns named Western Conference player of the week on Monday. Saunders noted that when he talked to Towns about it, Kat was quick to credit the team.
“That's one of the things that's been so impressive with Kat is those leadership qualities and how, with age and with maturation, he's been able to really grab a hold of the team."
Saunders continued:
“I think everybody can see that we got a special group. I mean even though it is just a week in, it's a long season, but you see how these guys celebrate each other. But he's been dominant and it's not going to be like that every game, but I'm fortunate to be coaching the guy.”
