On Tuesday evening, the Lynx legend and head coach had an emergency appendectomy surgery, knocking her out of Thursday’s game against Rutgers.

The team announced assistant head coach Carly Thibault-DuDonis would be acting as head coach for the game, and prior to Sunday’s game against Maryland, her status will be updated.

The Gophers are 7-7 overall this season and looking to bounce back against Rutgers in their first game of the new year after a loss to Drake two days before Christmas.
