The Gopher football team's season remains on hold because of coronavirus concerns.
And with that, another game has been called off.
The Gophers' scheduled regular season home finale against Northwestern won't be played on Saturday, the team's second straight cancellation because of a COVID-19 outbreak.
This past weekend's game at Wisconsin had been called off when the Gophers suspended team activities last Wednesday.
The school reported 47 staffers testing positive for coronavirus, the largest number of COVID-19 cases among all Big Ten teams.
The Gophers' next scheduled game is December 12th at Nebraska, and the Big Ten has scheduled an extra inter-division game for all teams on December 19th.
