The Maroon and Gold is getting an upgrade. The Gopher football team is getting new uniforms for the 2024 season.
One has maroon jerseys and gold pants, while another has a gold jersey and maroon pants. The Gophers will continue to wear all-white jerseys for some games as well.
All of the uniforms will have stripes on the jersey sleeves and down the side of each pants leg which is something new for the program.
The new uniforms come from Nike and are the "Vapor Field Utility Special Edition (F.U.S.E.)" variety. They're said to be stronger, lighter and more breathable than Minnesota's previous uniforms.
This is the first time the Gophers have had a uniform update since 2018. See more images of the uniforms here.
These new uniforms will hit the field for real when the Gophers host North Carolina on August 29.
