While the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers football team went into the half with a lead and lots of good feelings against the number four ranked team in America, Ohio State, the second half came and left them without their star running back.

Mohamed Ibrahim, a redshirt senior running back, went down with a leg injury midway through the third period.

The Gophers lost to the Buckeyes 45-31.

While the running back was able to get up and walk off under his own power, he was not able to return to the game.

Ibrahim left the field in a walking boot after being examined in the medical tent.

Ibrahim had 30 rushing attempts for 162 yards and two touchdowns before being injured.

It was his ninth straight game rushing for over 100 yards which is a University of Minnesota record.
