The University of Minnesota Gophers football program has announced a new home and home series with one of college football's most prestigious programs. You're only going to have to wait 3,630 days to see the first game.

The Gophers will host the Alabama Crimson Tide on September 18th, 2032 at Huntington Bank Stadium. The next year, the Gophers will head to Tuscaloosa to play the Tide at Bryant-Denny Stadium on September 17th.

While the Gophers and Crimson Tide are two of the oldest programs in America, they have only faced off once. The 2004 Music City Bowl gave the Gophers a 1-0 edge after a 20-16 win in Nashville.

Gophers fans took to social media with reaction to the game that they will have to wait 10 years for.
