Minnesota Lynx players and Coach Cheryl Reeve addressed the media Thursday after their season came to a crashing end Tuesday night.
Getting upset by the eighth-seeded New York Liberty and bounced in the first round stings. And there will be time for reflection.
But instead of focusing on what happened, we focus on what's next, especially with star forward Napheesa Collier entering free agency.
"That's not something I'm thinking about right now by any means," Collier said when asked what her plans are for next year.
Her teammates obviously hope she stays, but is now the time to bring that up? Guard Kayla McBride says leave it alone for now.
"They didn't even give us 48, 24 hours, before they're trying to decide where Phee is going next," she said. "That not only sucks for her, but then it's just like, man, like, can we just like process which just happened?
As for whether McBride or Courtney Williams will return?
"I live here now, so yeah, no, absolutely. No retirement," McBride added.
Regardless, there's a lot of work to do during the offseason. For Collier, her focus right now is on improving her game after ankle surgery cost her the first part of this season, and clearly she wasn't her usual MVPhee in the two losses to the Liberty.
"Since spring of 2025, I haven't been able to work on my game," Collier explained. "So, I'm really excited to be able to do that, to fine-tune what I like to do, and then add new things. Working on the perimeter, ball handling, shooting the three, all those things. I want to be able to get in the gym and get better and I'm excited to do that."
Free-agency negotiations won't begin until February.
