For only the second time in his NHL career, Zach Parise is a healthy scratch for a game.
Parise's output (3G, 6A in 19 games) has been one of the few disappointments for the surging Minnesota Wild.
Head coach Dean Evason says Parise is still very much a part of the Wild.
"You don't score as many goals as Zach Parise has without knowing where to go and how to get there," Evason told reporters Wednesday. "Sometimes you need a little tweak to get it going. We're hoping clearly that this is the tweak. Right or wrong, we've made the decision and we're going to live with it."
The Wild (12-6-1) are still in Las Vegas, where they lost in overtime Monday. They face the Golden Knights again tonight.
