It happened early in July in New York City. Twins center fielder Byron Buxton aggravated a hip injury that landed him on the injured list.
Buxton was activated Monday, and he'll be in uniform for the opener of the Twins' crucial four-game series at Cleveland. The injury kept him from playing in the All-Star Game where he was voted in as a starter.
Buxton leads the Twins with 25 homers and 57 runs scored.
The Twins enter the game Monday night four games out of first place in the AL Central.
