One of the most popular baseball teams in America is making its Target Field debut in 2026.
The barnstorming Savannah Bananas, complete with their wild on-field dance routines and banana-yellow uniforms are set to play three games in downtown Minneapolis.
The team also has their own set of rules that include a two-hour time limit and foul-ball catches by fans counting as outs.
This is part of the Bananas' 2026 world tour, which takes the team and its opponents to major league parks, NFL stadiums, and college fields in 45 states.
How popular are the bananas? The only way to get tickets is through an online lottery. Minneapolis is among 71 cities chosen from a pool of more than 200 applicants to host a 2026 Banana Ball World Tour stop. Target Field is one of 11 Major League Baseball stadiums set to welcome the Bananas next year.
The Savannah Bananas games at Target Field are scheduled for August 7, 8, and 9. The Twins are in Milwaukee those dates.
A pair of teams in the Banana Ball World Tour sold out two games at CHS Field in St. Paul earlier this year.
