It was a question that left many Vikings fans asking "what was that?" after Sunday's win against the Detroit Lions. Quarterback Kirk Cousins and Head Coach Mike Zimmer engaged in an entanglement that looked like it could be a jovial celebration...or anger between the two men.
Coach Zimmer this week said in a press conference that the confrontation was part of a celebration after kicker Greg Joseph hit a 54-yard field goal to beat the Lions. Now, the team has released audio from the moment in question.
Cousins, who was mic'd up during the game, walked over to Zimmer, grabbed him and repeated his now trademark saying "you like that" to the coach.
After a contentious start to the season between the quarterback and the head coach, it seems as if they can get along...at least in a victory celebration.
