According to the Minnesota Vikings, their former Head Coach Jerry Burns has died at the age of 94.

Burns spent 17 years as the team's offensive coordinator for 17 years before becoming Head Coach in 1986. He served for five years in that position.

Former Head Coach Bud Grant says that "Burnsie" was more than a coach to him.

The Head Coach was also known for one of the biggest meltdowns in Minnesota sports history. He was asked about his offense struggling and he went into a profanity laced response.

Burns finished his career with a 52-43 record as Head Coach.
