As the Vikings continue to overhaul their roster and questions about veteran Harrison Smith continue to swirl, one beat writer shot his shot texting the six-time Pro Bowl safety asking what the status of his contract was.
Smith's response blew up Vikings Twitter on Monday night.
Smith sent back to the beat writer a picture of legendary musician Prince. The singer, who for many, defines the state of Minnesota was known to be a huge Vikings fan.
In a follow-up text, the reporter asked if the picture meant he was sticking around. Smith did not respond. Vikings Twitter, however, loved the bit.
