More trouble for Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison.
Seminole Indian Police arrested Addison in Florida early Monday morning for probable cause trespassing. He was later released from a Tampa-based jail after posting bail.
Addison was suspended by the NFL for three games this past season following a 2024 DUI arrest in Los Angeles, he later pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.
He'd previously been pulled over in Minnesota for driving 140 miles per hour the summer of his rookie year.
According to Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office arrest records, Addison was detained in Tampa at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino at 3:46 a.m. Monday. He was released on $500 cash bond in the afternoon.
Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and coach Kevin O'Connell, at their season-ending news conferences on Tuesday, both declined to speak specifically about the incident they said the organization had just learned about, and was still gathering details.
"On Jordan’s behalf, his legal team has already initiated the investigation, identified witnesses, and we are reviewing the viability of a claim for false arrest," announced Addison's agent on social media. "He looks forward to the legal process and upon full investigation, we are confident Mr. Addison will be exonerated."
This latest incident complicates the future for Addison and the Vikings. He's going into the fourth and final year of his rookie contract, with a team option for 2027. Normally, this would be the year where the team and player look to agree on a long term contract, but Addison's off-field actions might make Adofo-Mensah and O'Connell consider that too much of a risk.
