The Minnesota Vikings have announced that offensive coordinator Wes Phillips has been suspended for three weeks without pay for his 2023 drunk driving arrest.

The 44-year old was pulled over December 8 and according to police had a blood alcohol content of 0.10, which is above the Minnesota legal limit of 0.08.

Earlier this year, Phillips pleaded to the lesser charge of careless driving, fined $378 and required to do community service work. At the time, he took responsibility for his actions and said he would accept whatever came his way.

His suspension from the Vikings starts immediately. He'll be allowed back with the team on April 23, which is two days before the NFL draft.
