The Minnesota Vikings held a press conference this morning to introduce their new General Manager, Nolan Teasley.
Coming from the Seattle Seahawks, Teasley was part of nine playoff teams, three Super Bowl appearances and two titles including this past season.
"It was always going to take a special opportunity to leave a special place in Seattle, and as I progressed through this process, it became very clear that the Minnesota Vikings were just that. They were that opportunity," says Teasley.
Although he feels the current roster is very strong and the team is ready to compete, he said Wednesday that the work starts now.
"We're going to be guided by evaluation, we're going to be anchored by data," Teasley explains. "And then the final piece, kind of as we work through our three pillars of acquisition and evaluation, is that what's really important is the coach's vision for the player. And that's in the simplest terms, how we're going to operate."
That success in Seattle means his own expectations are high, and Teasley's goals are the same for the purple.
"We're going to develop a shared language that drives how we evaluate and how we operate in working toward building a champion on a day-to-day basis," Teasley said. "And most importantly, I'm going to provide the support system that Kevin O'Connell needs to bring his vision for this team to life."
Vikings co-owner Mark Wilf further stated that there is no question they improved as an organization with the hiring of Teasley.
Previous General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah was let go after the 2025 season.
