The Minnesota Timberwolves lost to the Golden State Warriors 123-110 in a game that saw former Timberwolves player Andrew Wiggins go for 35 points on 14-19 shooting. While there were some bright spots, such as Anthony Edwards scoring a career-high 48 points, the host of "Lake Night" Henry Lake had some frustrations to vent during the post game show.
"The first thing I want to say is I'm a little bit disappointed in Wolves Twitter," Lake started the show with. "I feel like a good portion of Wolves fans are absolutely not dealing with reality. You're nuts. You're absolutely delusional."
Lake continues his show and says that some of his frustration isn't about just the Warriors game. He says that while the Wolves had a hot start with a 3-1 record, it was against a soft schedule.
Another subject of Lake's ire was D'Angelo Russell. He says that looking at the box score you could say he played a good game, that the reality of watching him on the court was that he didn't.
When a Twitter follower of Lake's suggested that the Wolves trade Russell to Philadelphia for Ben Simmons, Lake
"Do you think that the league and the people in basketball operations are aware of what D'Lo brings to the table? Do you think we are just shipping D'Lo and a bag of chips and a first round pick to get Ben Simmons? Do you think that's how it works? That's NOT how it works."
The "Lake Night" host continued the show by talking about fans wanting more minutes for Leandro Bolmaro, Malik Beasley and watching Anthony Edwards have a career night.
