OK, we get it...we are the radio home of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Some may think we're homers for Anthony Edwards. But, this take should just be considered fact:

Anthony Edwards should be a Western Conference All Star.

In his appearance this morning on The Morning News with Vineeta Sawkar, Henry Lake brings up the fact that Edwards, who hasn't missed a game all season, was upended by a player who has played in only 35 games so far this season.

"The problem that I have is that individuals that end up in the game that have missed so many games. Jaren Jackson Jr. has only played 35 games this year. Like, what are we talking about? We're talking about Anthony Edwards has not missed a game. He's played through the hip thing. He doesn't miss any time."

As you compare stats, Jackson Jr. is averaging 16.5 points per game with 6.7 rebounds and almost an assist per game. How does that compare to Edwards? 24.9 points per game, 6.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game.

Huh?

Not that we believe that Jackson Jr. is the only person Edwards should have been named over, but Lake continued with his criticism of the choice.

"Jaren Jackson Jr., specifically that's who I want to talk about, has missed so much time. Even yesterday when they had the cameras on Memphis during the nationally televised TNT game, he missed that game. He didn't even play last night. I just don't get it. I don't understand it. It bothers me. I think that's the number one thing that bothers me."

Jackson Jr. wasn't the only choice who took the ire of Lake.

"I think that Paul George, we know he's a star player, but I think it's more of a name recognition thing with Paul George making it this year as opposed to previous years. That's the problem that I have with this year's All Star game snub of Anthony Edwards."

The NBA All Star Game will be played Sunday, February 19th in Salt Lake City. Without Anthony Edwards. Which is a joke.
