Even hours before tonight's Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, Downtown Minneapolis was full of Wolves fans ready to get the party started.
The team store was packed.
"I went to the very first game, so I'm a pretty big fan and it's super exciting," said Wolves fan Melissa.
Although most weren't attending Game 1, they still needed their merchandise.
"Looking for Edwards jersey, man," explained another fan. "I need one."
Those fans were ready to drop some coin.
"$200, got a jersey and then a shirt for my sister," said one shopper.
Outside on First Ave, city workers prepared to change the landscape with a howling wolf going on the 1st Avenue street signs.

And of course, Mayor Jacob Frey was in on the fun.
"So many people are beyond pumped right now to be downtown, supporting the Timberwolves," Mayor Frey exclaimed. "I think the message for everybody is bring your family, bring your friends, bring your coworkers, bring your ass to downtown Minneapolis because the Timberwolves are in fine form right now and our city is kicking some ass."
Now get yours downtown and start howlin'. Tip-off for tonight's Game 1 against Dallas is around 7:30 p.m.
