If the Timberwolves were distraught and infighting after another loss in Toronto last week, a place they haven't won in 20 years, they were at least encouraged after a loss in Boston Sunday, a place they haven't won in 19 years.

Boston withstood a late charge to beat the Timberwolves 107-105 on Sunday after a last-second shot from Naz Reid missed. But hanging in there with the defending NBA champs was at least something for the Wolves to build on after a disappointing start to the season.

The Wolves have started 8-8 and are scuffling. Their opponent on Tuesday night at Target Center is on the other end of the spectrum. The Houston Rockets are a very surprising 12-6 so far.

The game Tuesday is the start of three at home for the Wolves who need to right the ship quickly.
