According tThe Minnesota Timberwolves have parted ways with General Manager Scott Layden.
Layden, who came to the team with former President of Basketball Operations Tom Thibodeau, spent four years in his role as General Manager.
During the Thibodeau era, Layden was largely responsible for handling the roster under Thibs' watchful eye. Layden ran the draft and took part in trade calls. His role was reduced when the Timberwolves hired Gersson Rosas as their new President of Basketball Operations.
Layden had one year left on his five year deal. There is no word yet if the Timberwolves will replace him.
