If you'd like to get in on seeing Timberwolves playoff action in person, you better be by your computer right at 10:00 a.m. Thursday.
Timberwolves COO Ryan Tanke explains that for the play-in game tickets went very quickly.
“The play-in game, when we went on sale, sold within a matter of minutes,” says Tanke. “So we kind of expect the same thing to happen.”
Tickets for the Timberwolves home games against Memphis will be available for games three and four, scheduled for Thursday, April 21 and Saturday, April 23. There is also a potential game six on Friday, April 29 if the series reaches that point.
All purchases will be done online at Timberwolves.com. There will not be any tickets available at the Target Center box office.
Tanke expects the energy to match Tuesday night’s play-in game against the Clippers, which the Wolves won 109-104.
“You know, they've been starving for this for a long time and it's going to be a lot of fun,” Tanke told WCCO. “Everybody should enjoy it as long as this run lasts. We should all have a lot of fun.”
Speaking to Vineeta Sawkar on the WCCO Morning News, Tanke said season ticket interest is the highest it has been for the team in many years.

“90 percent of our season ticket base for next year has already renewed,” says Tanke. “It’s the first time we’ve done that since the Kevin Garnett era, so you’re talking about almost 20 years since we’ve had that type of interest and response from our season ticket holders. In addition to that, we’ve now sold over a thousand new season tickets.”
The Timberwolves open the NBA Playoffs in Memphis with game one Saturday at 2:30 p.m. That game can be heard live on News Talk 830 WCCO (the Twins and Red Sox will be on 102.9 FM the Wolf).
