The Minnesota Timberwolves have by in large missed the COVID outbreak in the NBA...until now. According to reports, the team will be without one of their most prolific players.
The Timberwolves have ruled Anthony Edwards out of the game against the Los Angeles Lakers tonight at Target Center. The team has also ruled out Taurean Prince and entered him into COVID protocol.
More than 50 players throughout the NBA have entered into COVID protocol in the month of December. Coaches, trainers and other front-office staffers have also been placed in protocol for the virus. The Lakers, who play the Timberwolves on Friday night, have five players out for the game because of COVID. The list includes star guard Russell Westbrook.
The Timberwolves and Lakers are scheduled to play at Target Center at 9pm on Friday night. You can hear the game on News Talk 830 WCCO starting with the pregame show at 8:30pm.
