Timberwolves roll out the red carpet for newly acquired players LaMelo Ball and Josh Green

Team management and fans are celebrating the addition of two proven veterans, with the team's President of Basketball Operations, Tim Connelly, saying they're aiming to refine the team's championship habits.

They also know they needed to get Anthony Edwards some playmaking and scoring help. That meant parting with a fan-favorite, Naz Reid, in order to add a valuable point guard like LeMelo Ball.

Ball says he's ready to join a team that sees his value.

"It definitely means a lot just when anybody values you, and sees what you can do," Ball said at Target Center Tuesday. "For sure grateful. So, like I always say, it's a blessing."

Ball also added he doesn't know Edwards well, but is excited for the opportunity to team up with a fellow 2020 Draft member.

"I know ANT for a minute, so I mean, we've been talking. Just, everybody excited and we're ready to get to work," Ball adds.

As front office leadership evaluates further roster adjustments, fans are now watching to see if the team can successfully recruit free agent icon LeBron James to complete their rotation.

The only thing Connelly said Tuesday is that the Wolves are "working on one or two" free agent power forwards. But it's no secret they are working hard behind the scenes to stay in the race for James, who has narrowed his choices down to just a few teams, including Minnesota.

Connelly added that the recruitment of James really comes down to the team they could surround him with: "When you look at this team it’s hard to not be excited for what we have.”
