The Maple Grove Fire Department says they have recovered a body from a Maple Grove business that erupted into flames Tuesday nigh

Crews were called to Hanson Equipment and Storage off of Bass Lake Road and Highway 101 at around 6:10 p.m. after callers spotted flames and smoke coming from the business. Firefighters were told that three people were possibly still inside the building.

Maple Grove fire chief Tim Bush reported at least two people escaped, but a third person was not accounted for. Rescue attempts for the possible third person were halted due to rapidly spreading fire.

Firefighters were able to knock down most of the hotspots late into Tuesday night and heavy equipment was brought in to move the mass of debris that allowed them to find the victim, who has not yet been identified.

Hanson Equipment and Storage is a commercial facility housing office, storage, and one living space. Vehicles, campers, boats, and propane tanks are stored inside.

One person who escaped was taken to the hospital and the other person was treated at the scene.

The business was closed at the time of the fire.
