Honoring the late State Senator Kari Dziedzic.
Today the City of Minneapolis officially dedicated the 10th Avenue Bridge Dziedzic who served as a member of the Minnesota Senate from 2012 to 2024.
Earlier this year, the Minnesota Senate unanimously passed a measure to designate the bridge as the Minnesota Senate Majority Leader Karl Dziedzic Memorial Bridge.
Kari's sister Kellie and several members of her big family were there for the dedication.
"I'm just so proud that she was my sister," she says, " she was such a great senator and just so doggedly determined to help her constituents and help the city of Minneapolis, I'm so grateful to be here today."
The Minneapolis City Council unanimously passed a complimentary resolution shortly after, which was then signed by Mayor Frey.
