A 17-year-old is dead after shots were fired into a home on Minneapolis' northside Sunday night.
It happened around 6:030 in the 2200 block of Ilion Avenue.
Officers found the male victim with what is being described as an apparent life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite lifesaving efforts from police, the victim later died at the hospital.
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara is promising that that his agency will "devote every available resource to bring justice" for the boy and his family.
Investigators are working to learn the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
