One is in custody in the shooting deaths of a woman and her two teenaged children that happened Saturday afternoon in St. Paul's Payne-Phalen neighborhood.
Killed were 30-year-old D'Zondria Wallace, her 14-year-old daughter La'Porsha, and her 11-year-old son Ja'Corbie.
St. Paul Police responded to a call shortly after 3 p.m. in the 700 block of Jessie Street. Officers found three people suffering from gunshots inside a home and pronounced the woman and her daughter dead at the scene.
The woman's son was transported to Regions Hospital, where he later died.
Just an hour before the shooting, an officer had been called to the home on a welfares check after an out of state relative expressed concern.
The woman answered the door and reportedly told police, "I am O.K. Tell them I’m O.K.," according to St. Paul Police Chief Mike Ernster.
