One woman is dead and a man is in the hospital following a triple shooting in Apple Valley on Wednesday night.
Apple Valley police responded to a report that a man was in the hallway of an apartment building in the 7600 block of 157th Street West just before 8:45 p.m.
Multiple 911 callers reported they heard gunshots.
When officers arrived they found a man in a hallway suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. Police checked a nearby apartment and found a woman dead, also from a gunshot wound.
During their investigation officers learned of a male suspect who lived in the building. They entered the man's apartment after obtaining a warrant and found the man dead from an apparent suicide.
Police are investigating and say there is no threat to the public.
