Two men are dead and woman remains in critical condition after shootings in south Minneapolis late Wednesday night.

At 11:35 p.m. police responded to a report of shots fired on the 2800 block of Colfax Ave South. Officers found an adult male and a woman in her 30s suffering from gunshot wounds inside a car. The man died at the scene and the woman was taken to the hospital.

Just minutes later Minneapolis police responded to a call just a block away from the scene on the 2800 block of Bryant Avenue South. Officers found a man who had been shot. He died at the scene.

Minneapolis police are investigating if the shootings are related.

"We're always concerned about the lack of sanctity of life for those who don't care for the dignity of others. Certainly when you have two, it's concerning," said Minneapolis Police Information Officer Sgt. Garrett Parten. "Anytime anyone loses their life it is a tragedy. We're going to do everything we can to determine what happened tonight."

So far there haven't been any arrests.
