A daily record for deaths due to COVID-19 in Minnesota was reported Wednesday.
The Minnesota Department of Health reporting 67 deaths. 51 of those deaths occurring in long term care. 5,102 new coronavirus cases were also confirmed Wednesday.
Governor Tim Walz will implement more restrictions in Minnesota during a statewide address Wednesday evening. The restrictions will allow for takeout only from restaurants and bars for the next four weeks. Gyms will have to close, and youth indoor sports will be put on hold, according to WCCO Radio political analyst Blois Olson.
