Seven people were hurt Monday night when a car crashed into two light rail trains in downtown Minneapolis.

The car became lodged between the northbound and southbound trains when the vehicle was driven through the intersection of Portland Avenue and South Fifth Street.

That intersection is adjacent to the Minneapolis Armory and a few blocks away from US Bank Stadium.

The collision was captured on video and posted on Reddit:

The video shows the northbound train was stopped while the southbound train was moving through the intersection.

The car went in front of the moving train, which pushed the car sideways.

The vehicle then became caught in between the trains, the southbound train stopping shortly after the collision.

Officials say there were two people in the car, both were hurt, one of them seriously.

Five people on the trains reportedly suffered minor injuries.

The crash happened around 9:00 p.m. and the scene was cleared by 10-30 last night.

It's not known what led to the collision.
