Duluth police arrest 72-year-old man who threatened to shoot the windows of an elementary school

Duluth police say they arrested a 72-year-old man Thursday night who threatened to shoot the windows of an elementary school.

Those threats were directed toward Laura MacArthur Elementary School.

Police made the arrest Thursday night at the man's home in the 5500 block of West 6th Street.

The man who was arrested faces "threats of violence charges." WCCO does not name suspects until formal charges are filed.

A shotgun, an assault rifle, and various ammunition were seized as officers executed a search warrant.
