There is another new state-operated COVID testing site, and it's in St. Paul.
Officials say the facility will be able to process close to 1,000 nasal PCR tests a day.
It's housed in the MinDOT building in the 300 block of John Ireland Blvd.
"Testing is one of our key tools against the highly contagious Omicron variant," said Gov. Walz. "This new site will make more tests available as we confront the current surge in cases."
The new site, which opened Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., will operate from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.
For now, the site will continue to perform COVID tests for three weeks.
Appoinments are recommended but not necessary, and the testing is free.
