Former Minnesota Vikings great Adrian Peterson is threatening to take legal action after several of his NFL awards appeared alongside other personal items listed for sale on an online auction.

Peterson, whose Vikings career lasted from 2007 until 2016, took to X on Wednesday to deny that he allowed the website to auction of the trophies.

"I did not authorize the sale of any of my trophies and I will be taking legal action," Peterson said. "Trusting this company without supervision was my mistake."

Peterson's 2012 NFL MVPP and Offensive Player of the Year Awards, along with his Rookie of the Year trophy, appeared alongside other items including signed footballs, game-worn jerseys, and non-football related items like clothing and furniture.

"They clearly did something unlawful," according to Peterson.

He went on to address rumors about his financial situation, adding that he is financially stable and that he would never sell off his hard-earned trophies.

"If I was going to sell them, I know people that I could sell them to. I wouldn't go online and sell my personal items randomly. So that let that sink in."

Items from the listing titled "Adrian Peterson Final Auction" can be seen here.
