Every year when the calendar reaches October, diets all over the country get ruined as Halloween candy begins to take over supermarket shelves. This year is no different, as many are stocking up early with October right around the corner. Now, a new viral map has revealed the candy of choice for each state in 2021, and of course there are a few questionable choices.

It seems every year for every holiday; someone creates a map showing each state’s favorite food related to that holiday. For Halloween this year, it was job hunting site Zippia that found each state’s favorite candy for 2021. What they found was that Twix and Kit Kat were the number one choices in most states, and the majority of states prefers chocolate over a gummy or fruit flavored option.

According to Bro Bible, in Minnesota the top choice was Twix, joining Massachusetts, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin as the states the prefer the 'cookie crunch' in their Halloween candy.

Of course, there were some head scratchers as well, such as black licorice, circus peanuts and candy corn. Maybe next year, those states will finally figure out what a good Halloween candy is. We're looking at you Arkansas. Circus Peanuts?
